April came with a mini heatwave perfectly timed over the Easter bank holiday weekend followed by gale force winds a week later! The tulips seem to have arrived quickly and are now looking a little worse for wear after the storm but I managed to pick most including the beautiful 'Menton' which can't help but take centre stage in the photos below.
The roadsides are brimming with cow parsley and campion just coming into flower and the forget-me-nots are adding a beautiful blue note to the borders. Our anemones and ranunculus are still going and bulbs such as alliums have joined to party too. Its such an exciting time of year - seeing things you had forgotten about sprouting up.
