Despite a few weeks of very windy weather here in Somerset, the hedges and gardens have started blooming, with shoots of green and signs of life everywhere. Looking particularly great this month are the narcissi (must plant more and unusual varieties in the autumn), anemones, hellebores, grape hyacinths and hawthorn blossom, I also have some early Cerinthe major which self-seeded itself last year. Altogether a bright and beautiful combination of fresh colours!
