Romantic and Colourful Summer Wedding Flowers for James and Sam at Homme House

James and Sam married at lovely Homme House in Herefordshire on a gorgeous June weekend. The couple wanted an abundance of flowers to compliment the beautiful house and grounds. The beautiful spiral staircase created a focal centerpiece, using colourful flowers and trailing foliage to frame the cake table and entrance to the ceremony.

James and Sam and wore colourful buttonholes featuring roses, strawflowers, statice, seedpods and heuchera flowers. In the evening the couple changed into tuxedoes and had simple striking deep red rose boutonnières to compliment the look.

Ceremony flowers

To line the aisle we used large ceramic bowls filled with overspilling country garden and meadow style flowers with some taller delicate and airy stems to give height. These were then moved onto the centre of the tables for the reception. at the end of the aisle two a pair of large bowl-shaped urns on plinths flanked the ceremony space. These were also moved to the marquee following the ceremony.

Reception flowers

The beautiful pole marquee was filled with round tables on which we placed handmade ceramic bowls and bud vases filled with colourful, romantic flowers. These were interspersed with matching ceramic candlesticks and elegant taper dinner candles to compliment the table linens and place settings. The large urns provided colourful focus points in the centre of the marquee.

The iconic stone dogs that flank the main entrance to Homme House wore colourful floral collars to welcome the guests to James and Sam’s wedding made of fresh statice, cress, strawflowers and eryngium these looked just as fresh the next day and will slowly dry, keeping their colour and shape.
