Layla and Imman's summer wedding in Somerset

Layla and Imman celebrated their marriage with their closest friends and family in the beautiful backdrop of The Tythe Barn at Priston Mill, near Bath. At the beginning of August the field really is in full bloom with the roses at a peak and the dahlias, cosmos and zinnias beginning to flower in earnest. Imman and Layla chose a mix of bright sunset colours; a beautiful combination of pinks, oranges, peaches and yellows.

Big thanks to Layla and Imman for trusting me with their vision and Daniella Marinos Photography for these beautiful images capturing the day.

The ceremony

Layla and Imman's ceremony was held in the beautiful Tythe barn with its stunning oak beamed ceiling and ancient stone walls. Bud vases were placed down the aisle and in all the alcoves surrounding the ceremony space adding bright pops of colour. On the ceremony table was a long and low arrangement full of colour and trailing, scented honeysuckle and jasmine. Incense was burning and the sun was streaming through the windows, giving and exotic feel to the space.

"We wanted to say a huge, huge thank you for our beautiful flowers on Monday. They were exactly what we'd imagined and hoped, and we loved them! We had loads of comments on how gorgeous they were, and we're still enjoying my bouquet and some others we took home. The ceremony/top table garland was amazing - we're looking at all the family photos now and admiring all over again.

Finally, thank you for being so lovely to work with. Wedding planning is so overwhelming, but you made this part of it so easy and enjoyable - we can't recommend you enough!"

Bridal Party Flowers

Layla wore a gorgeous yellow-gold sari and her bouquet was filled with seasonal flowers in sunset shades including dahlias, sunflowers, cosmos, rudbeckia, thlaspi seedpods and honeysuckle. The buttonholes were made with miniature pompom dahlias, limonium, achilliea, rosebuds and rudbeckia, bound with hand-dyed silk ribbon.

Reception Flowers

Following the ceremony the Tythe barn was transformed into an elegant dining space for the wedding breakfast with elegant glass bud vases full of summer flowers bringing colour and scent to the tables. The ceremony table arrangement was moved to the top table and extended further with bud vases of different heights and shapes.

This was such a fun, colourful and culturally diverse wedding to work on - full of fun and love, it was such a pleasure to be involved in Layla and Imman's special day.
