Sophia and George's exotic and colourful summer wedding

Sophia and George had initially planned to marry in Sophia's ancestral country of Italy but changed their plans to wed at the beautiful St Audries Park in Somerset, surrounded by familiy in friends. The day started stormy and while the wind and rain raged around us we created an Italian inspired backdrop of bright sunset colours complete with citrus fruits to bring a bit of Italy to the day.

Wedding details

Wedding Month | July

Theme | Colourful, wild, sunset shades

"Thank you so much for all your hard work, Soph and I were extremely pleased with the results. The bouquets, table centres and arch were especially beautiful and all our guests have commented on how special the arrangements were."

George and Sophia, July 2023

Bridal party flowers

Sophia and her bridesmaids carried bouquets in a loose and airy ‘garden-gathered’ style, in peaches, oranges, apricot and pinks, tied with trailing silk ribbons. The seasonal flowers included as dahlias, rudbeckias, small sunflowers, phlox and snapdragons.

The ceremony

The beautiful orangery at St Audries Park was filled with colourful flowers including a large broken arch to frame the ceremony area. This was made of a mixture of dried and fresh flowers so the colours really sang. Down the aisle were vases of different sizes bringing pops of sunset colours.

The reception

The table flowers were placed in elegant gold and glass bud vases of different sizes in sunset colours, combined with and array of citrus fruits bringing colour and scent to the tables. The broken arch was moved from the orangery and placed either side of the top table to be enjoyed all day and at breakfast the following day.
