I'm so excited to share some events coming up this summer, with the first this weekend!:
19th June - British Flowers Week - to celebrate British Flowers Week I will be using our home-grown flowers to decorate the entrance hall of our local church of Wick St. Lawrence, located just a mile from our farm. Visit from Saturday morning to see the flowers, have a chat to find out more about British cut flowers and take home with you a free bunch of blooms (first come first served). I will be at the church from 9-11 in the morning but the flowers will remain all weekend. This is a celebration of beautiful, sustainable, seasonal and scented flowers that we are able to grow in the UK and is part of a national campaign by New Covent Garden Market to raise awareness of British flowers. Pop down to see us, chat about British flowers and take some flowers home with you!
14th - 15th August - The Flower Farmers' Big Weekend - Come and have a tour around our farm, pick your own flowers and enjoy tea and cake. Booking essential as numbers will be limited, £25 per person.
Workshops
Come and visit us on our plot in Somerset for the opportunity to stroll among the flowers and take home some of our seasonal blooms. This year we are offering private workshops to small groups, held in our new studio space or cutting garden. These can be tailored to your requirements but could include making a hand-tied bouquet, a vase arrangement, or a flower crown to take home with you. All flowers and equipment will be provided, along with refreshments to include delicious home-made cakes from a local artisan bakery. The perfect way to celebrate a special birthday or occasion with friends and family, such as a hen party or baby shower.
